Ok guys need some advice and/or help.

Ok, Im looking at either going high flow or bigger, say HKS 2830/35??? I know with the high flowed i dont need to change anything, bolt off, get it done, bolt back on. Are there any other say HKS turbos that will bolt onto the standard exhaust manifold or will I need to get one made up??(Which i can get done for literally nuthing!! wooo hooo)

At moment Im in the market for a cheap stock turbo 2nd hand in good condition just so i can get back on road for the moment, anyone have one laying around?? SYDNEY NEWCASTLE OR CENTRAL COAST PEEPS????

A few of the HKS turbos will bolt up to the stock manifold, although where you will run into problems is with the water/oil lines.

2530 seems to be a great street turbo if your not aiming for big (~240+rwkw) power, or maybe a 2535.

Theres a few good threads in the Force Induction section on the 2530 and 2535's.

Remembering that a highflow stock item will be a direct replacement with no other modification needed to bolt back on.

I've now got my old high flow if you need to borrow it until you get enough $$ together for something bigger and better. I'll PM you Brad.

OK, having gone thru some pain myselft with modding my skyline, my piece of advice is this.

The turbo is the holy grail of the power you get from your engine.

Depending on what you want to use the car for, will determine your power levels and turbo configuration. (ie Street, Track, Drag, Combo)

Once you choose your turbo, you build around it - Pistons, Rods, Bearings, Injectors, Cooler, ECU, Ignition, Cams, etc

(BTW I am talking perfect world situation - which never seems to eventuate hey)

Choose wisely and choose once.

Id be taking advantage of Mark's offer if $cash$ not there for you ideal setup (Very Generous of you Mark BTW - gotta love how club memebers help each other out)

And remember - once you up the ante on the turbo, you gotta look at the support systems and internals too - but I guess you knwo that hey !

Good luck Brad !

Exactly right Brendan. We both have lost money on the standard turbo -> high flow -> larger turbo.

I'm heading down to woolongong to pick up the turbo for you today Brad. You can run your 12 or 15psi no worries on this turbo and it bolts straight up.

If i were going to spend money on a turbo i'd at least get a 2530.

Good luck, get in contact with me if/when you want to grab the turbo off me. I'm on the northern beaches.

Jay: It was in excess of $6500

BMan: Thats what I was talking to John about, we worked out what turbo, then built around it. The 30/40 is what we want for in the end with all the other stuff. Must say though, the Microtech LTX12 seems to be the best way to go for aftermarket computers, I reckon better than the Power FC!!!!! Apparently the combo will run good even with stock internals!!!!! But they will eventually be changed to after i got this all setup!!!!

Mark: You are an absolute legend !!! It is appreciated greatly!

I ended up going to Wollongong for you to pick up the turbo yesturday, its sitting in my car now.

I've got my car in for a service tommorow and will be working back late.

I'll PM you and organise something so we can get you back on the road ASAP.

Do a lot of research before jumping in and buying the wrong turbo - I hope lending you the turbo will give you more time to think it over and get a good price at the right workshop.
