Hey,

I was thinking of buying this subwoofer box off ebay that is moulded to fit the exact boot of an R34, but the ad says it is for a coupe, I have a sedan. Will this fit into my boot aswell?

This is the listing for the item:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=190394475901

I REALLY need something that I can put my sub into that will mount it properly for track use, and this seems to be the most practical way of doing so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got 2 12icnh split subs in my boot and now i got no room but they look amazing to c. Ill post a pic on them soon 2 show u but its not completed yet. At volume 8 alone makes such a amazing sound it gives people headaches that are not used to it.

Just a heads up, that moulded box looks pretty small, and depending on what sub your running, might be way below what is recommended for the volume of a sealed enclosure.

If your at all handy with timber, could build yourself a nice ply/mdf box, and mount it in boot with brackets into the floor, just need to be careful if drilling into the fuel tank.

Always a good idea to put a little extra weight in the boot of a rear wheel drive Skyline.

:ninja:

Mind you..

If I get a flat , I've got to disconnect 6 channels of speaker wiring, disconnect all power and earth supplies to 2 amps, unplug six rca inputs, pull out the main amp and base it's screwed to, remove both my sub boxes, pull out the second amp that does the fronts, and leave all this on the road. Just to get to my spare.

Then with a 255 in the boot, it'll all have to go in the back seat until the space saver spare goes back in.

Imagine if it is raining.

Wouldn't have it any other way !

Ericjayrol haha, that sounds awesome Espada, Cant wait to see some pics

Only problem was that due to the size of the pair and getting boxes for them both I had to make them face towards the car. With the 2 amps side by side with them the only thing that looks kinda shit is my original setup molding with a sheet of wood as a backing plate with the offcuts for the subs. With the boxes it sounds x10 louder but im beginning to be having problems now. I would only assume that it is based upon the wiring but i have 4 gauge wiring running through the car a.t.m and now my rear speaker are not working which is annoying. Yet when im turning a corner they seem to be working but on the straight drive they fail and send more volume to the front. I'm assuming that I will have 2 check the wiring again and c what i f**ked up unless anyone else knows a faster alternative to this fault?

Check you haven't crossed polarity on one of your speakers ( crossing - and +)

This can cause amps to do very weird things.

My mechanics crossed my subs when they re-installed them. My wiring is all clear sheathing with a microscopic print on one.

Took me ages to find the problem. Almost put my fist through my head unit !
