Hi guys, got a set of hks coilovers for a reasonable price through the jap auctions and put them on the front of the car over the weekend, didn't have time to do the back. The ride is harder than a 16 year old on viagra!!!

Is there any way to make the ride of these softer???

Damper adjustment as Marc said but really, harsh spring rates will always limit you and coilovers are naturally stiff items. That's the compromise you take for putting better handling suspension components on your vehicle. You might want to look at getting some Tein SS coilovers as they have much softer spring rates than most coilovers.

So how do I adjust the damper settings??? Is that the bolt at the top of the coilover/strut?

I've actually got a set of teins which I'm assuming are super streets but got these hks items at a reasonable price at the auctions and have found them to be very hard in comparison so I'm most likely going to sell them if I can't adjust them.

my r34's also running hks coilovers and yes they are very hard, but i think you'll find that you get used to the stiffness quite quickly, and once you do, you will really appreciate the benefits of these coilovers. the skyline, despite wearing average tyres at the moment handles like a go cart and is more confidence inspiring than my wrx around turns, i credit this primarily to the coilovers, although it does have swaybars aswell.

i recomend fitting the rears and seeing if you cant adapt to it, then make your decision on selling or keeping.

cheers
