Best Restaurants In Victoria

Hey guys,

Girlfriend are looking to head out for dinner Saturday night but have no idea where to go. We'd prefer somewhere east/south east of the city, or even in the city, but we're not prepared to travel to the other side for a good meal. However, in the interest of keeping this thread useful for everyone you can post up good restaurants regardless of locations.

What we're looking is excellent food at affordable prices. We're prepared to pay a bit a quality meal, but nothing extreme.

i went to moskito in clifton hill or fairfield not sure what suburb but the food was amazing

Bhoj in Templestowe if you like Indian.

That place has won more awards than you could possibly imagine, and for good reason. The food is amazing.

Rockpool at Crown is really great food but will be expensive. Ask for the bar menu, Wagyu burgers for around $20 but there is lots to choose from.

Paesano @ Knox O-Zone for a stone grill eye fillet, best value steak in town easily.

I've got a massive list of good restaurants I could post up for you lol, me and the friends had this "different restaurant every week" thing going on for about 2 years.

Anything honestly, so long as it tastes good. We like a range of cuisines and are always open to trying something new.

1 word for Rockpool in Crown or the one in Sydney.... OVERRATED..

Been to both Rockpools and tried their wagyu steak. No idea why Roger Federer was known to frequent the restaurant every time he comes over for Aus Open.

If budget isn't a problem, go try Vue De Monde in the city. If not, you can try out the newly opened Maze restaurant at Crown Metropol opened by Gordon Ramsey.

At vue, expect to spend about $200+ a person for something average. Personally never been to Maze yet, would be trying it out in the next couple of weeks i hope.

Go to lazy moes in maribynong. not alone FAIRLY Priced (10-25 for a main) but ALL of they're meals are OVERSIZED LIKE A B!TCH.

You will on rare occasions finish it and the food quality is still micky mouse!!

Ate at the Pub Bar in Crown last week and loved it.

Cost us about $100 for 2 people including a bottle of wine. The food was simple and tasted good. It's always packed on weekends
