I eat out heaps, but one of my favourites would have to be Donovan's on St Kilda Beach. They tend to be a bit on the pricey side, but their quality of food is great.

However, if you want generic restaurants, head down to Lygon St, or you could also try Giorgio's in Armadale (Corner of High St and Glenferrie Rd.)

dont get out much to 'nice' restauraunts, but one that i have been to is rococo (not 100% sure on spelling) in st kilda, just up from maccus and that dodgy roundabout thingy. its more relaxed than most places, great atmosphere, plenty of people (good in its own way) and price was pretty decent too. from memory it was well under 100 for two people, only a couple of beers in that, no bottles of wine or anything

I SECOND THIS, DONOVANS IS THE BEST!!! :( Service and food is excellent! win/win.

+1 for M&W Co...

Paesano @ Knox O-Zone for a stone grill eye fillet, best value steak in town easily.

I've got a massive list of good restaurants I could post up for you lol, me and the friends had this "different restaurant every week" thing going on for about 2 years.

haha Paesano stone grill steak is good.

One time they were out of steak so instead they served chicken, lamb, pork on one rock. Three different meats in one meal! :P

If you like Japanese I recommend Naked Japan in South Melbourn, about $50 for 2, or Yamato in Corr Ln China Town, about $40 for 2. Both QUALITY Japanese places.

If you want burgers go to Andrews Hambergers in South Melbourne, they are teh best and are cheap as (had reviews for years as best burger in melbourne)

Another idea is you like steak.

Squire's Loft City - 12 Goldie Pl, Melbourne - (03) 9670 7317

Faaaaaaarking amazing..... and the ribs are orgasmic. Bank on around $50-$70 each for a great feed.

Was about to say this too, Squire's loft in Docklands is a steal for a $30-50 steak. If you want to go a little less try the lamb for $27 or something you absolutely won't regret it.

Whoa, that's expensive.

I was thinking like... $50-60 at most pp. Feel free to post up more expensive joints, I'm sure I'll give them a try on a special occasion, but we're just going out for dinner and wanted to try something new.

She might get a cocktail or something, but I'll be driving unfortunately.

Without fail, it's a stone grill eye fillet from Paesanos. $30 for the meal (plus drinks)...good sized / filling cut of eye fillet, comes out in 15 minutes, cooking it is super fast, never under/over done, meal never gets cold. You'll never have someone cook you a steak again lol. DOOO IIIIIT!

Have you tried 'Boss Cocky's Cut' at Outback Jacks @ Knox? Fark me, the steak is on par with Meat and Wine Co. Try it - you will not be disappointed! I LOVE a god steak.

Anything honestly, so long as it tastes good. We like a range of cuisines and are always open to trying something new.

Oh yeah I forgot to add, Korean BBQ.

You order a plate of meat of your liking and you cook it yourself.

Nice and fun too.

But only place I know is in the city...

Used to be a regular there as well when i lived that side of town... always good.

But it's more a take-away thing, no sitdown.

Yep I agree, they are very good! You can sit down on the bench inside but it's 95% take away.

Lots of Korean BBQ in Box hill which is quite good also.

    • Hard to say what the extra connector is, it looks a bit like a coax type connector, so possibly a separate radio/GPS antenna, or even another camera input?  The V37 series (including the Q50), did go through a model refresh in 2020, since Australia didn't get any Q50s newer than 2019, we didn't get any of the refreshed models, so there could also be other unexpected problems to overcome to swap an older Q50 head unit into a new model V37. There probably aren't too many people around that have made these sorts of changes to a Q50/V37, so you might end up being the first if you do decide to go ahead. ACP is Apple Car Play and AA is Android Auto, they are roughly the same thing for the 2 major phone operating systems (Apple's iOS and Android), it allows you to connect your phone and access a number of your phone applications on your car system.  With Nav apps included, so you could use google maps/Waze or whatever your favourite navigation app is, instead of using the built in navi system.  I think this would be a better solution if it is only Navigation that you are looking as swapping the head unit for. GPS signals are the same around the globe as the GPS satellites continuously circle the globe, but it is the head unit that doesn't allow you to load Australian maps, or at least no-one had made an Australian map that will load up on the JDM head unit. Regarding the TV standards, I assume you are referring to the AV inputs?  I haven't ever tried to use them, Japan used a slightly modified version of the US NTSC system, and Australia uses PAL for composite video, that said, I wouldn't be surprised if a video input could work with either system.  That is mostly irrelevant here though, unless you plan to use those inputs for something?
    • If you've got bucket loads of $. Go single. If not, just upgrade the twins, Garrett -9's or whatever the current equivalent is for a healthy 350awkw and leave it at that. Will probably still cost you 10k to do in this day and age.
