hey,

i recently done an engine conversion on my r32 coupe gts25.

took out the rb25de and replaced it with an rb20det crate engine from japan with 114,000ks

under full boost, standard 8psi there seems to be quite a bad miss.

its done this since i put the engine in and i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what it might be..?

the car has a full 3" exhaust, a front mount intercooler kit, pod filter and a 6 puk clutch.

i have changed the spark plugs and today i put some replacement second hand coils in but it didnt make a difference

it misses driving on vacume and on full load (full loads worse by far)... i was thinking about getting a 500hp walbro fuel pump as the body has done 260,000

any help would be good.

cheers, Daniel

did you gap the plugs correctly? And are they a proper heat range for your engine?

second hand coils could still be faulty. try swapping coils with someone who is currently running their coils with no miss.

this is all assuming your miss problem is ignition related. without hearing it myself, you could be misinterpreting the problem as a miss when its something else entirely.

best idea: take it to someone who knows what they're doing. most experienced and helpful workshops wouldnt mind going for a 2 minute ride with you and will be able to tell you what the problem is by personal experience.

the plugs came gapped correctly, the person i brought the coils off said they were good cond.

im going to buy a waste spark setup to get rid of the coils problems soon, ill see if this helps,

the old rb25de used to run average in the car, thats why im thinking its the fuel pump. recently changed the fuel filter because it was blocked with shit,

ill have to get someone to take it to my mechanic cuz ive lost my licence for sustained loss of traction for 6 months ;)
