We normally use the Garrett Big can actuators which is rated upto 23psi. We can also modify your turbine housing so your boost curve hold flate to 7000RPM.

The ceramic turbine wheel is my only concern. It might breaks off under heat and pressure just like the OEM turbos do.

Car is now boosting alot earlier due to finding

a couple of boost leaks. One was found by myself which was an intercooler pipe joiner being loose and the other one was found by Daniel at Elite Racing developements when i took it to him this morning.Car feels much livelier and more like i anticipated when buying the turbo. After the leak was fixed we took it for a drive and the clutch didn't like the extra torque and started to shit itself. So one problem fixed and one to fix as soon as possible. All in all very happy! As for what Rad32 said about a steel wheel version i think it might be cause my mechanic said that the compressor wheel had markings on it which were still quite fresh which indicated it had recently been rebuilt and balanced. But i wont be able to test its limits until i can afford to put bigger injectors and AFM on it.So thanks to every one for their input in helping me with my teething problems as i wouldn't have known where to look without this forum.Thumbs up to SAU. :P

Bringing this back alive just to add that the wastegate on these turbos is adjustable stock (screw fitted arm). I got mine from Darrynspencer on here - adjusted to 9psi then put a boost controller on it (ID3) and tuned at 11, 13 and 15psi (above 13psi boost drops off at the top end a little).

Full boost (15psi) at 3500rpm on the dyno and road when tuned, made 227rwkw. But boost was dropping off to just under 14psi. I think I could wind another 2 turns on the actuator to get ~11psi without controller and fix some of that pressure drop off, set controller to run 16psi and probably max out at 240rwkw.

i had one of these turbos on my s14 (but a p20 version) and it was laggy ish but it is a big turbo a p25 is rated at 550-600hp i vaguely remember so lag is kinda expected but urs looks a lil too much, i dont have a dyno sheet handy but i gave the turbo to my best mate when i sold the car stock so ill see if he has a printout somewhere

SR20's use a AX53B60, not what we are talking about here

AX53B70 P25's are rated at 380hp not 550-600hp

yeh, after adjusting the wastegate actuator i am getting 16 psi by 3400rpm.I found that my actuator does not control boost level but controls how fast peak boost is achieved . Without the bleed valve connected i reached a peak boost of 12 psi.Cheers.

ECR-033, at 18psi I think you are over-boosting that turbo.

Better to drop a couple of psi and be happy with 230rwkw than blow the rear wheel off. I doubt that extra 2 psi is giving you much power anyway. I make 227rwkw at 15psi mid-range (dropping to 14psi up high).

4th gear with ebc = full-boost at 3300rpm (1 bar), 7psi at 2800rpm.

Skylinatic, your midrange torque is amazingly similar to mine at ~520Nm calculated flywheel. I doubt you'll get much more out of the turbo though, maybe another 10hp or 20 max.

I put the boost down to 16psi, went past my tuner and asked a few questions about the turbo. he said it is completley safe on 18psi and its not a ceramic wheel its 100% steel. i also rang up a few other places and they all say the same thing, all say its steel wheel turbo.
