i just bought an r32 for a daily driver and its got a little issue thats annoying me haha.

when the head lights are swiched on, only 2 of the 4 hot plates light up, but when i brake all 4 come on.

ive checked the globes and their all fine.

a mate said it was possibly done during compliance or something.

does any one know how to fix this so all 4 come on?

cheers.

Depending on who complied the car and the program that it was done under some have two to the real lights deactivated.

One of my R33's was like this and they had simply placed some tape over one of the terminals on the bulbs - which was very easy to undo.

Pull the boot cover out and have a look at the wiring for the lights and check out the bulbs. Good luck.

My 32 works like that, but that's because I made it that way - just to make sure that anyone following at night knows that I have applied the brakes. I simply cut the wires going to the tail light on the inner set. So, check that's what has happened to yours.
