High Pitch Noise!

well I get this strange high pitch noise coming from the engine. when the car is idling but if I press the accelerator it goes away.

I don't know what it is or where about from the engine its coming from. Has any one had this problem before???

everything seems to be working fine but I don't know what that noise is hopefully its nothing serious.

Did you do anything recently to your car?

you'll need more detail than that, could be a whole host of things from spun bearings, power steering, fan belt, exhaust leak or a myriad of other things.

Ok i will do im at uni atm and the last thing i repaired on my car was one of the spark plugs as one was miss firing.

and by the way the car is NA srs 2 r33.

i will get a vid up of it by tomorow.

did the noise occur as soon as u replaced the plug? maybe you got the wrong plug or wasent tightend correctly have you noticed more fuel being used or less power?

I had a high pitch noise in my engine too.. It got loulder the more i accellerated though.. So it sounded like a super-charger

but it turned out to be a bottem Air Conditioning Pully Bearing.. it was shot and grinding, no damage but yeah a noise

but the other guys are right could be a host of things.. hope this helps!

Does this only happen when the car gearbox oil is cold? Is it coming up your transmission tunnel?
