I can open the diagnostic menu the same way as described but I cant see any menus that relate to a camera. Maybe the 09 doesnt have it.

yeh that confirms what the US guys have found

only the digital unit has the auto reverse camera option inbuilt

i just received the camera kit from japanparts - super quick postage, less than a week!!

unboxing it now, instructions are in japanese but diagrams make it pretty easy

can do the install without removing the rear bumper, just need to thread the camera wire down to the undertray than back up into boot via a grommet

ill play around with it this weekend

edit* all unboxed. camera looks to be a clarion unit. pack contains alot of padded double sided tape

No the 09 doesnt.... That's what Chris has been saying. The 2010 is digital and completely different.
