02 Sensors

sorry guys forgot to ass this to my last post. after my car has warmed up on ocassion at idle the revs play up a little, i have reason to beleive this could be my 02 sensor just wondering where i can get my hands on a real one and not a universal fit one, thnx for the help

Check spark plugs and coils. o2 sensor only changes the amount of fuel injected and is usually associated with ppl complaining about fuel economy not idle/misfiring

its not a missfire the idle just doesnt settle, it fluctuates between maybe 500 to 1500 rpm without me touching the accellerator, also when hot it occasionaly has a backfire which i thought would be from over fueling

Try a TPS sensor mate.

Also.. have the car idling, disconnect the TPS to see if it returns to normal, if it does, that's your problem.

could also be the idle air control valve (IAC). this often causes a lumpy idle when it is a bit fouled up

thanks for the help guys ill give both of them things a crack and see what happens
