Hey,

Sorry if this has been already coverd, just a quick question, I Recently Picked Up a set of Alpine Type R Component Speakers for my car i'm getting soon.

With the Cross-overs Is it alright to mount them in the boot, so the input wires are closer to the crossovers, then just run more speaker cables through the car to the woofer and tweeter? using speaker cable? or is this a no no...

Sorry for noobish question, Havn't installed Components Before.

Thanks!

why would you ??? lots more work to run xtra cables into the doors then mount crossover in them?

unless your going for a "certain look"

and depending on the amp, you might be able to ditch the crossovers and use the amps internal one? but be warned setup wrong and kiss your speakers goodbye !!!!

FYI crossovers can pick up noise from wiring in the boot
