Halp! Desperate Need Of Some Solid Info On Stageas... Importing A 260rs...

hey guys,

ok so im in the middle of importing a stagea...

now some of you may have seen my previous post in reguards to c34 vs m35...

im going with the c34...

now

i will not settle for anything less than a 260rs. its going to be a daily not a powerhouse street monster..

ive got a few questions...

-are "autech stagea" and "260rs" the same thing?

-which years did they begin and stop making c34 260rs'

-is there any difference in the years of made? as in... is there variances between say a 97 260rs and a 99? apart from the obvious one is newer?

-are they all the same series'? is there a series 1 260rs and a series 2 260rs?

-i assume they are all manual?

-i was told no 260rs' come with sunroofs?

any info would be greatly appreciated!

i just want the bees knees top of the range model...

They were only made during 1998, using a series 1 rsfours car

There is no series 1 and 2 as they were only made in 1998

Actually, there are s1 and s2 260RSs:

AFAIK, the only real differences are cosmetic - headlights, tail-lights, etc. They both came with R33 GT-R running gear and a PowerFC made for either the R32 or R33 GT-R will work no hassles. Even the wheels were the same between s1 and s2.

Can't find the source but read somewhere that there were about 1000 S1 made and 700 S2.

The differences between series 1 and 2:

Head lights, thus bonnet, grille and guards

Interior: speedo panel, centre console, fabric on seats

Clear(ish) tail lights

1 reverse light, one fog light at rear

All mechanical, drive, susp etc etc all the same.

there was one in auctions last nite. grade 4... modified... it had adjustable suspnsion. coppermix twin plate clutch and "TURBINE" which means aftermarket

found out today

Yup! One turbo instead of two is gunna be a bit obvious to the compliance mob, however upgraded clutch & suspenxion is most acceptable . My car arrived with improved intake/exhaust system plus aftermarket wheels. The car was made standard for compliance & because I had paid for "the other bits", I kept them.
