most HID are just plug and play, just connect the power and plug in your headlight wiring to the HID's on both sides and thats about it. with brand try to stay away from HID on ebay from another country, as most of them are crap. Mu secret does pretty good HID's and reasonably price and comes with warranty.

The '8000k' measurement isnt about brightness, it's about the color of the light. 8000K is basically purple. If you want to avoid the attention of police, etc - I'd stick with 4300K. You'll also find as the kelvin gets higher, your headlights will be producing less useful (visible) light. So at 8000K you'll have less useful headlights than ones producing 4300K.

If the headlight in the GTR is the same as the GTT, and this is factory HID - you'll be looking for DR2 bulb types.

just PM DAN666 on the forums .. I bought some D2R bulbs off him a while ago and they are perfect. Not sure if he still sells them but worth a shot. Definately don't get 8000k as that's just blue and you will get defected. I think my ones are 6000k which is borderline but doesn't attract atention.

I'm running 6000K. It's not very good on rainy nights or if there are too many yellowish street lights. 4300~4500K is about right - Which is white.

I find that 6000K has a light purple "tint" to it - but on dark (country) roads I find that 6000K is pretty good as the light seems a little softer/natural.
