Guys i was looking into some pod yesterday, was thinking of which pod actually suit me better for my 33 until i saw an article about 3A racing pod. I believe you guys know its a cheap pod and probably can get it from supercheap or repco. amazingly the 3A racing pod do better than any pod that we are using today like apexi, hks, and more famous brands. below is a link to show you the magic of these pod! Its a short article but with fancy pictures so will not be boring, starting today change your pod filters to 3A racing pod lol.

what a joke .

what is the piont of a FILTER . to FILTER particles out of the air that damage your engine . get something that filters properly and if you can prove on the dyno it is a restriction get a bigger filter untill it is not

having plenty of experience with filters on moto x bikes the general consesus is oiled cotton and oiled foam are on par with each other while clean but when dirty the k&n will outflow the foam ones due to more surface area

although rush goes some way towards fixing this with its contoued outer surface

Years ago Xspeed tested all the big name Filters on my Dyno, the $20 dollar specials were the highest power outputs and now afte all the years theres been no damage from poor filtration. Many of the mega Dollar stainless mesh big name jobs catch small animals and rocks and nothing else.

dont know with you other guys that are running these filters, do yous have really loud induction noise and some flutter too. with my 180 i have this filter and sounds like the turbo is spooling up and its not even boosting, sounds cool tho.

Yeh i personally don't believe it. I take these tests with as much seriousness as tests of flow on catalytic converters. It is very easy to over clock the flow rate and then quote the filter rate at the bench flow rate. Everybody looks at the flow rate and goes oh wow it MUST be good, but then don't stop to think that the quoted filterage could be taken at a lower flow rate.

I used to have a 3A filter on my car. Replaced it with an Apexi and i could definitely feel the improved response, plus i have to clean the Apexi filter more often than i did the 3A, which tells me it is picking up more of the dirt rather than letting it through.

thanks for the info. New for me. gonna get one for my 33 :)

LOL looks like i am advertising for 3A... personally didnt belive such cheap pod can do better than any other brands but with my opinion, the price of the brand name is there for a reason, so lastly i had choose Apexi pod for my 33. for whatever reason it just seems like a scam to me lol no offense but just unbelieveabe. I would say i can give it a try but not on my 33 or may be my daily (In case to see how it goes) haha.

Im fitting 1 to my GTiR Racecar, Good power, good filtering and cheap enough to replace often. Ive seen the results 1st hand and can think of lots of other places the extra money could really help. The money saved is the difference between good DS3000 Brake pads and sensational RS14 Pagid for example.
