whilest we're on the subject, to save going out in the rain and finding out for myself...

can ya get the 6 bolts off from the turbo dump from the top? without getting under the car?

i know i can. i have an assortment of tools modified for fiddly jobs and yeah ive done it from the top before. much easier on a stock dump then it is on some aftermerket ones.

but you still got to get under the car to undo the other end of the dump pipe anyway

even if the new turbo will (meant to) fit exactly where the stock one was? I have a 1 piece front/dump pipe 3"

PS sorry for thread hijacking.

if your swapping turbos... well you might be lucky depends how much tension is on the exhaust. it may be hard to get the turbo out with the pipe still there.
