i have and got few different responses, most of them are like this - "yeah, i'll give it a shot, and if the paint cracks - not my problem" :)

that's why i ask if anyone knows a good specialist that knows what they are doing...

Unfortunately I don't know anyone good on the gold coast, but this:

"if the paint cracks - not my problem"

Is the standard disclaimer for just about ANYONE who rolls guards. Theres always a chance that ~20y.o. paint will crack.

But yeah, you definitely want to find someone who knows what they are doing, to reduce the chance of cracking. Try specialist body shops (ie places that do custom/performance work, not just insurance repair jobs on camrys).

The way to stop paint cracking is to warm it first. I bought a heat gun & gave the panel a warming until paint was soft but not fluid. There are many Mobile guys who can do a great job. Look in yellow pages & pick one closest to you is my 2c
