CAn I use Supra TT injectors for the RB25DET?

I know the TT injectors are supposed to be side feed.

Can't seem to find much info on them though...

Anyone know how many cc's they are and impedence?

anybody tried this before?

Supra TT injectors are 550cc and low impedenence, I believe RB25 is high impedence but not exactly sure.

this link: http://www.ap-engineering.co.jp/el/inj_side.htm

is to a site that acutually lists different size injectors for 2JZ, I have been told that US delivered and Jap delivered have different size injectors as the supras in the US exceeded the 'gentlemans agreement' in japan to limiting power to 208kw.

the above link also shows the higher rated injectors (US delivered cars?) are low impedance, but the lower rated ones are high.

that is only correct for the US delivered supra's.

the JDM ones are 440 or 480 from memory and are high impendance.

Thanks for clearing that up, I recall reading on here somewhere that I could use Supra TT injectors, but after doing research here in the US I found that they will not work on my car, but as you stated only applies to US spec cars.

    • bump. Anyone had this done? either 49 or 50mm? Been pondering what to do while mines in storage. Been thinking of DBW but if I do that, then might as well do this too. Want to retain 6 throttles. I have a fully build head(CNC, OS valves, 286/278 cams, etc etc still running squish), and a Greddy old school intake with port matching. Head bench flowed 300cfm. Wondering whether bigger throttles will give me any gains. Makes 563kw.
    • If anyone has any suggestions for a 300-350mm long (or thereabouts) muffler that is 3inch in and out I'm listening
    • It's the same with many brands that find their way into promotion via Youtube channel sponsorships. Those stainless guys, e-mail cut shippit, various other service and product companies.... they try to make it so that the only name that comes to mind when you think of doing those things is them, and then you just go get their stuff because your favourite channels are using it, so it must be good AND good value. Notwithstanding that the YT'ers don't pay anything for it. But a lot of people are not that sophisticated.
    • Yeh vibrant looks a bit overpriced, but thats the US market in general, they pay $50k for a gtst...
    • It's surprising you say this because talking to someone who headed Toyota's CARB certification efforts and was now working for Mercedes doing similar things he said he never had a case where he found that it was necessary to reduce ignition timing for that reason. Knock limits yes, but never because of in-cylinder emissions profile. I'm guessing between EGR and the number of TWCs modern cars stack in series it's not really a problem. I really doubt the NEO is that big a difference. You get what, EV6 injectors, coil on plug, a cold start valve that works off coolant temp instead of basically fixed time constant valve, and... I really can't think of anything else. Not like Toyota where they shipped first gen GDI in the 2JZ-FSE.  Something I didn't realize is that Japan didn't revise their emissions standards for light duty passenger cars between 1978 and 2000. I'm guessing there's a bit of phase-in, but that explains why 2002 killed a bunch of JDM sports cars off all at once. FD3S, A80, S15, Z32, R34, Z15A GTO all died off for that reason. And explains how all these cars got away with no EGR or much of anything other than a TWC and charcoal canister for the longest time.
