i didn't hear nathans car pinging its date off, i did hear/see it wheel spin excessivly tho..

the was a fair amount of tyre smoke after the first run..

can anyone, ant hopefully confirm what gear they did the runs in, because his and nathans cars seem to come on very hard and very fast, a lot faster than i expected..

or is it just possible the new formax guy running the dyno, got the ramp rates wrong?..

I saw someone mouthing "fourth" when they had one of the GTRs on the dyno ... can't remember which one it was though ...

Yes denver, the ramp rates were definetly wrong (either to low or high i dont know i dont know much about controlling a dyno) from what ant was saying to me, if u look at the graphs from both cars the power and torque lines are extremely short, which indicates the car reving to quick. Steve said they were know where near the 126 (*edit) they use in shootout mode

Both cars were definately done in fourth, but the ramp rates were around the 170-180's, which is way off the 100 they use in shootout mode. God only know's why Formaz chose ramp rates like that. The ramp rates for both Ant's and Nathans were very similar and didn't cause the difference in power, but I don't think either were strapped down anywhere near enough.

Still, everyone was dyno'd on the same day, under the same hot conditions ... Ant got 600-odd horsepower, Nathan got 475-odd ... well done to the both of them, it's still a shitload of power.

But, lets not bring on the excuses ... it's like the drags

The first 10 is all that matters.

Anyway Ant won and proves the new Wolf GTR plugin ECU with 6 ign drivers has the edge with more to come.Shootout uses 126 ramp rates and using 180 looses power in turbo cars but both Rs had the same rates.

The main problem with Nathans tune is the Dyno used for tuning reads craze power and has very quick ramping ( I have used it and can't get the boost on like other dynos)
