yeah celica for me personally... it's just so fvking TOUGH!!!

there used to be (probably still is) a celica TA22 in maroon that used to drive to work next to me... nearly had a few accidents could never take my eyes off it

looked sooooo well maintained / resto'd

I've got 3 TA22 Celicas, one a genuine GT...one an LT with GT engine and another factory LT. In love with em! I've been wanting to do a chop top on one of them with SR20 conversion to boot...bit sacreligious, but fark it would be a fun car.

We also used to have an Aussie (apparently one of three, ex Toyota exec vehicles) delivered, yellow RA28 GT...got written off in a targa race :P buuut we still have the build plates...and several sections of it lol.

LOL sorry I didn't know you guys were obsessed avid Toyota fans, I thought we were all Nissan fanboys on these forums :P

I'll scan in a couple 35mm prints of the RA28 tomorrow. The TA22s are under car covers, but here's one of them during the restoration process:

This was back when Yamaha made heads (f***ing good heads at that) instead of keyboards :P

And Weber 45s meant alot of power, not a roast barbeque and calibre of gun!

These babys have a miniature V8 sound with a decent exhaust.

Would you like a tweed jacket with that Shan :bunny:

Real men drive these!

your concept of a real man couldn't afford a Toyota 2000GT :D They're that rare and sought after.

As a genuine car enthusiast, I appreciate all good cars. I'm not one of these knobs that thinks one make or model is the be all and end all like some people on these forums think.

Every car has it's strengths and weaknesses and no one make has made the perfect car (despite what the R35 blokes think).

Great pics Birds, also DOOOO IIIITTTT, SR20 it lol

datsun 1200 you can get them here... 120y coupe is different model... not as pretty.

Agreed they did something weird to the back of them that just never looked right.

120Y sedan for the win i might be a bit biased though lol.

A true enthusiast and not just a fan :bunny:

This baby would be worth a mint if we still had it - 1 of 3 in Australia (apparently):

Careful! Don't want this thread being deleted for pornography!

Birds: Tragic to hear it's gone!

rgr34: How does it treat you as a daily?

the car serves as a great daily more modern motor helps me keep up with modern traffic. it hasnt upset the cars handling etc... its revs hard and being quite light goes alot better than some newer  modern small cars... good on fuel etc...
