DCIEVE, I like all performance cars, be they Jap, V8's, rotory etc. But the V8's were given just as much opportunity to win as any other car there, and weren't restricted in any way, so were happy that a Skyline won, seeing as the majoiry of us own Skylines:D

Yes there are plenty of cars that can make alot more power, but most cars like that aren't driven to the event like the majority of Motorvation entrants. Ant's GTR is very drivable on the street, which he does at any opportunity.

I've said it before, Ive seen ant's R on the streets around my house many times, and his driving is pretty bloody responsible. I'm always impressed. I remember sitting behind a pack of yahoos in a bogadore who got shitty at him crawling along at 50 in a 50 zone....

...but then maybe when you've got a car like that you've got nothing to prove anyways...

on the issue of v8s vs imports, it's becoming a bit bloody passe. to carry on raving about them like theyre neoliths from a different planet is ultimately pretty counterproductive isnt it?

    • Might be worthwhile hitting up Facebook's groups, I know most of them contain terrible people and scammers - however you might be able to find someone that's in Sydney with factory suspension you could purchase and/or hire. Just do not send any form of money anywhere, in person cash only.
    • Thanks @Duncan Ride height is fine. I think it's almost stock tbh. Happy to share a pic. I don't actually have a regular mechanic as haven't lived in Sydney too long. Could you or anyone recommend any shops in Sydney?
    • You just need a different blue slip shop (preferably one you regularly use as a mechanic), and make sure the coil overs are as close as possible to standard height
    • yeah the sugar refining companies were pushing for the same in Oz originally, all fuels were going to have 10% ethanol to make them "cheaper" (noting, that the loss in l/100 might be greater than the decrease in price). I guess they won that fight in Canadia
    • GTSboy, thank you again. i’ve been reading all the other SAU RB25 vacuum line threads and you have the utmost patience for people asking “where do my vacuum lines go”. it’s appreciated. i did also enlist a few other RB guys local to me.  i would like to run 5 to 4. turbo pressure side to wastegate actuator. i would like to run 3 to 1. power steering air valve line to intercooler outlet. (this is how it was previously). i was told 2 is the bleed port for the boost solenoid - which i’m not running - so should be capped.   anyone see any problems with that?
