Since the weather has turned - it's time to go indoor kart racing at Kartatak Indoor Raceway

Some of us got a deal on scoopon.com.au so this is the chance to use those scoopons or just come and have a good time.

Plan is to meet up at Kartatak on the 20th June around 1 PM.

Are people interested in having a small cruise before or after maybe to a local Maccas or something?

Also, once numbers are in, I'll call them and let them know we're coming. Post up if you're in.

How much and coupon where?

Sorry Mate, I posted the coupon in the NSW forum when it was up on www.scoopon.com.au - but was only available for 24 hrs.

Pricing is $24/10 min $46/20 min on Go Karts.

Also have "Skid Cars" for $19/10 min or $36/20 min

Also $9 for a "License" good for 12 months.

Hey folks - only days to go now, I can't wait!

So racing this SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!

Plan is to just meet there around 1PM. I called them and they couldn't reserve spots but said they can pretty much always fit us in. I will call back on Friday to confirm - just in case they competely book the place out (do occasionally for parties and such).

Since there aren't that many of us committed to going, lets all just meet up there. Then go racing. Afterwards, anybody wanting to get a snack at the Krispy Kreams can cruise on over to the one near the airport.

See ya soon.

Just checked with them and they have a booking so it might take a little time for us to get on the track but they're pretty sure they can work us in. So if you're running a bit late - it's ok.

Cya there.

    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
    • We import a lot of cars from Japan. I'd say that approximately 20% of our traffic is imported JDM cars (mainly consumer cars like the Mazda Demio, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift, etc.). We also import a lot from the UK, but this has decreased after Brexit. Apart from the consumer vehicles, two of the larger, well-known dealerships frequently import iconic '80s/'90s JDM cars. I haven't heard of anyone importing from Australia, and they are not advertised (unlike Japanese ones), despite a lot of Maltese migrating to Australia in the '50s and '60s.
