yep i meant guards.

I dont see why they wouldnt bolt straight up, as you say - same chassis.

but still, do a bit more searching through the forum dude, this has been covered plently of times and i'm sure others here have done it

if its the s2 front bar in particular that you really like - you can install this with the s1 front end. I've seen it done before with my own eyes.

as for series 2 front bar on a series 1 was it straight fit?

Couldnt really tell ya sorry mate. It was on a friend of a friends car, and i dont reckon the guy installed it himself.

If the s1 and s2 reo bars are different; this will obviously need to be swapped.

I wouldnt think it would be too much stuffing around. Front bars are generally pretty easy to install with all the right fastening bits and tools. OEM items in particular are always better and straight forward compared to aftermarket fibreglass copy junk.

S1 bar wont fit a S2 bar apprantly.

I went to buy a GTR copy for a GTS-T S1 and the seller told me it wont suit my car (S2).

I think you'll find the only reason this GTR copy bar couldn't be swapped from s1 to s2, or vice versa, is because the grill between the headlights is integrated into the front bar.

This means that the different shape of the headlights will cause a drama.

However, a simple standard s1 or s2 front bar separates the grill, and the top of the bar is completely flat. Regardless of the headlights, they should both fit. Don't hold me to that, it may be that simple things like bolt hole positions etc are wildly different, especially if the front reo is different, but judging by the overall shape of the two, I'd bet the front bar alone IS a straight swap.

If it's the headlights you're after, however, THEN you're gunna need grill, bonnet, quarter panels, headlights, a truckload of cash for shipping costs......

experience right here.

You will need a

S2 front bar

S2 re enforcement bar

Grille

Bonnet

Headlights

YOU DO NOT NEED FRONT GUARD (they are exactly the same S1 and S2)

If you are doing it with a r33 S1.5 (1995 model, without fog lights) you also need the fog light stalk, fog relay and you have to change the connector plug into the indicator/fog light unit as the non fog light plug is too small. (The car is wired up for foggies no matter what model, its the blue wire out of the 3 wires going into the indicator/fog lights)

Thats all you need mate :)

will he need them just to change the front bar though? i don't think he does as the front bar is flat at the top and shouldn't make a scrap of difference to the headlights. if he wants to put the whole s2 front end on then obviously he will, but if he only wants to put the front bar on then he shouldn't need them, or it wouldn't be hard to make it fit without them

Yes thats right. If you juts wanted the front bar you could change the reo and bar and be done with it.

i'd say no to the above question. also, because of the different shape of the lights on the series one, the lights will be sticking out a little bit over the top of the s2bar if you dont go s2 lights. hence why its better to do the light swap too if you can afford it
