I've got a r32 gtr 1994

I've got a ill list going of stuff on order + stuff I have already on the side

HKS GT-SS + hks actuators , hks dumps , hks 2.5" splits to a true 3" back plus 100cell

Haltech pro

Tomei cam gears

Tomei pom cams type b

Tomei valve springs

Tomei metal head gasket

Tomei timing belt

Id1000s

Arp head studs

Will be getting the sensor to run e85 & 98

Hoping for anything between 330-350 on e85

I ran 11.8 on stock turbos and stock ecu with ku31 tyres back to back ... Only improvements was 16psi and full exhaust... Nothing of the above list beside exhaust was in this setup @234kw ..... Really keen to see what I'll run at the new

was my run... Times lip in the description .. Excuse my idiotic screening after the run... Was a tad excited.

I'll update u as I go. Great read....

i was hoping to get 340rwkw out of the -9s with my rb30dett on 98 pump gas

I got around 316 on 21 PSI 98 RON - That was without cams dialed in and not an aggressive tune.

I rekon 350 is more then achievable... if i remember correctly Nick 'S R33 GTR with -9s is in the 350 area.

haha thanks mark! Yeah i ran 12.6 first time i draged and all i changes since that visit was 13psi to 16psi and factory cat to 100cell... i thought maybe 12.4
then i did 12.4 and i was cheering... i approached the launch a lil different and adjusted my tyre pressures & spring setup.... and yeah ran back to back 11s.

loved it ! Cant wait .... I pray i can crack a 10.99 on the gt-ss that would proove alot of ppl that them lil twins are still a go'er

Indeed it is ;)

350awkw 21psi 98ron -9s baby!!!

Like I stated earlier on, my PB was 11.1 and u won't believe that I kept it in 3rd gear thinking I'd hit the end of the track but I was bouncing off the limiter for I think was about 1sec. If I grabbed 4th, a high 10 was mine :)

How good does it feel when the car hooks up out of the box, I think my PB was a 1.55sec - I'd have to confirm with my time slips.

Thats insane...

Man i ran a PB of 11.8 @ 116mph on the stock turbos rebuilt with steel wheels @16psi
Stock standard ecu... Only a EVC 6 boost controller tune.
Exhaust has bigger dumps, 2.5" Splits to a 100cell and 3" back
Splitfires
Stock standard Internals.
1.7 60ft time
KU31 tyres.

Nothing is worked.

Thats why im so geed to get the new setup rolling that i got at the top of page 17.
Hoping to nail a high 10

Some ppl said 350 kw is the apsolute max the GT-SS will get.... Im soo keen to hear your setup Levin

shiiiit thats insane power for them... have u got a built motor?

Yep built motor

yes spill the beans, what is your setup :)

Built motor still 2.6, cleaned the head up, tomei type b springs and retainers new valve guides, custom Pulse Racing spec cams 272 x 10.8 in and ex

Hip dump pipes, kakimotot front pipes and cat back

Full boost by 3800rpm

Haven't maxed the turbos yet, at the limits of 98 tho lol

Might be trying e85 soon.....

its very respsonsive like a NA, its got tomei cams 8.8 lift as well... its always on boost, it even shuffles when you turn the engine off lol

ive gone over the car for boost leaks time and time again... so no one can confirm the induction sound of these things ? i still have the afms on the turbos with those mushroom type filters with the stock rubber intake pipes

i am only running 16psi of boost atm... its summer here and even at 2am its 40deg c....

also i am running stock r32 gtr dump pipes because the hks dumps i had on the 2510 did not fit for some reason.

how much power would these stock r32 gtr dump pipes be robbing from my setup? i was thinking of getting some replacements or get some bad ass 3" ones made, what would be better?? or is it not needed? come winter i really do want around 340rwkw

If it were race car I wouldn't care if it were removed.
    • No worries at all 🫡 I think the most satisfying things to make are the little bits that are just impossible to find or they're no longer manufactured. Generally I always try to replace parts with OEM wherever possible. This little project is also great because it'll never see the light of day, but strengthen these brackets so it's not just relying on the little standard screws in the headlight plastic. As soon as I saw the standard brackets and screws I thought, "well I'm not going to install with just the screws, the plastic tabs will just snap off". It's crazy how expensive everything has become yeah. But I suppose that's supply and demand; granted it's a lot easier to get brand new genuine parts these days which is fantastic 😊, I don't have to get totally reamed at the local Nissan dealer ha ha We sure are lucky we have all these manufacturers making parts these days, a few really great Australian companies too like Platinum Racing Products and Fit Mint Automotive, what a time to be alive ❤️ . I've got my eye on the RB26 head by PRP as mine has a very fine hairline crack, so that'll need to be addressed some time in the future. If you have any requests or odd things to make feel free to let me know and I can have a crack at making replacement parts ✌️
    • Thanks for sharing this, and BTW if your headlights are in good condition they are worth thousands....you might want to consider replacing them with brand new LED ones like this (https://www.nengun.com/78works/full-led-headlights-r32-skyline) and making enough profit to buy a house in Sydney
    • I'm not sure what sort of shops are nearby, but I'd expect any reasonable exhaust shop could put a cat in it that will not restrict the power that engine makes. Otherwise, if you want to remove it, short lengths that replace the cat are readily available online, search for "de-cat pipes" or "test pipes"
    • Howdy friends, So another weird one today, I was looking into replacing some broken clips holding the front grille for the R32 GTR (part number 01553-03831), and noticed the brackets which are supposed to hold the grille in place were also missing 😑. I do recall seeing this issue many years ago, but didn't fix it at the time. A quick look on eBay and I was able to find the genuine brackets, along with all the screws which suited the headlights (part numbers 26042-08U05,26092-08U05). Happy days!....  Once they arrived however there was an extra nut in the packaging which implied that there should also be a bolt or a stud, and sure enough, after a bit of searching I found this thread from 2013, and @Ants clearly shows a stud should be present. Reading around a bit more, it's possible the headlights on my car are the "povo pack" headlights as mentioned by @funkymonkey in this thread way back in 2008. This could explain why the studs are missing on my set of headlights. Looking at the headlight diagram I wasn't able to see a suitable part number for the stud itself. The headlight did indeed have a recess that looked like it would accept a stud, but interestingly no thread or anything obvious how the stud would be affixed to the headlight, I suspect it may have been glued in, press fit, or melted into the plastic at the factory. Another member may be able to clarify if they happen to have a genuine set of N1 headlamps. The only thing we have to work with within the recess is a keyway which likely is there to prevent the stud from rotating within the recess. In any case, back to 3D printing, I put together a model which acts like a pug with a friction fit inside this recess, making use of the keyway so it doesn't rotate while tightening a bolt. Printing in TPU will allow it to slightly swell making a nice snug fit without cracking the part. I've designed the adaptor it to accept an 20 mm M6 bolt (stainless with a cap head in my case), as opposed to the standard M5 stud and I made use of the standard galvanised split washer that came with the genuine brackets from Nissan. Once the bolt and screws were all in place, giving the bracket a gentle shake gave the classic "shaking the car" feeling, very solid, which gives me confidence this is going to be able to hold on much better than the janky solution which seems to have been here for the past decade or so. Overall I'm really pleased with how this turned out and maybe there are more people out there running these headlights without a centre stud at all!
