Hi guys,

I'm looking for advice on removing the exhaust cat's on my car?I'm not sure if it is a good idea, i would like to let my engine breathe a bit better and increase the tone of my exhaust. I removed the rear silencer and the tone is noticeabley louder, i don't have the luxury of a wide choice of aftermarket exhaust supplier's only the local part's store. They have a nice no name rear free flow muffler but it will take alot of work to adapt. Out of interest are the cat's located just after the "lamder" sensor ,where there is a flange which bolts to a rather large dia pipe which is incased in a sort of heat deflector casing and it's prob about just over 0.5metre long , which then bolts onto a "Y" pipe which inturn bolts onto the centre muffler all the way to the rear which then bolts onto the rear silencer.

Some advice is greatly appreciated.
