Hi,

I own a 2005 V35 250GT.

Yesterday I lent my friend the car for a while. Now when I reverse, the side mirrors wont fold down as normally. I checked, and I can adjust the mirrors electronically (the knob and buttons) so the electrical system works, but it wont go automatically as before.

Does anyone know what happened?

Thanks

There is a small button, underneath the right hand side of the steering wheel. Press that and now try reversing:)

Got the same button on my newly arrived 300GT. Now I know what that buttons for!

I thought that it was for folding the mirrors automatically when you lock the car and was somehow 'always on' on my car. Does anyone know if you can disable the folding mirrors on locking the car? It can be useful, but not really necessary having them fold in everytime I lock the car.

Cheers

should be another switch on the left side (below the steering wheel). you can either turn it off, auto folding when locked or permanently fold - so it looks like a light/lamp switch and not just a button. usually near the remote control for adjusting the side mirrors.
