They have them in Sydney on all the toll ways, they also have several fixed radars in all of the tunnels.

Good thing I was driving a 12 seat Hiace commuter last time I was there.. 0-80 in like 30 seconds lol.

If you have a GPS they will notify you. Worked for a mate of mine when he was over in melbs recently.

what are these ones i've heard about where they measure point to point?

like 1 set of lights and then the other set and then theyre like 'you travelled fast between there, SNAP'

from what i've seen they're mainly used on highways and freeways, set on bridges etc. if your average speed over the distance is more than the speed limit it flashes you. but i doubt we'll have to worry about them for a little while atleast

I have been using the tomtom to identify the lights with speed cameras and so far to good affect... i hope they up date with all these new ones coming on line

Rear-ending will probably increase significantly.
