Hey, I'm looking at buying a new set of struts for my 1984 Paul Newman HR30 skyline and need some help.

Are the shocks on the Paul Newman HR30 the same as the ones that are available for the Aus model 1984 R30? I mean can i order say... Konies for the aus model and they will bolt straight in or are there slight variations in the mounting?

How much do you think i would be paying for a set of new konies to suit?

:D Thanks

I don't know if this is relevant to your HR30. From memory the HR30 brakes and struts looked pretty much the same as the aussie model but the Paul Newman might have DR30 brakes(274mm discs) and struts. I fitted DR30 struts to my aussie R30 for the larger brakes and had to modify the retaining nut to accommodate the Konis for the aussie model. The DR30 struts were about 4mm shorter than the aussie struts. IIRC the retaining nuts koni supplied had the wrong thread for the DR30 struts so I had the original nuts machined out to suit the Konis. The DR30 struts came with different height strut top mounts to the aussie model.
