Boost Guage

i've been thinking about putting a boost guage on my dash, i read that i have to buy 3 way vaccum hose connector so i can connect another line to the back of my guage from an existing vaccum hose in the engine bay, i was wondering, i have 2 vaccum lines coming out the back of my inlet plenum the bottom one goes to my BOV & the one at the top (yellow hose in pic) is cut off with a screw & currently not doing anything at all..

can i not worry about making a 3 way connection in the hose and just use the yellow one with the screw in it for the boost guage to make it easier to install? or do i need to connect it to the line thats going to the BOV?

just remove the yellow hose and connect it there.

just use that line in the pic. that's the one for your factory boost gauge (which mustn't be working)

if you want your factory boost gauge to work as well, then get one of those 3-way connectors.

you could just remove the yellow hose and put the new hose there and then you won't need an adapter

alright thanks guys, does it matter if I don't have a factory boost gauge? It does the same think as an aftermarket gauge right?

the stock gauge doesn't read in psi, and is pretty innaccurate, so it's no great loss not having it hooked up

exactly, and judging by your pic it wasn't working previously so it shouldn't really bother you now lol
