the field controller i have is a unit in which you have to install into the wiring loom,, its a separate unit with adjustments and a digital display that reads your 1/4 ille times, your true speed, your true rpm, your a/f ratio and your tranny shift points (if its auto) and a host of other things,, the unit is marked "field hyper-r boxer series", is this whats on the other end of youe cable?

at the switch end of the cable, when it is on "boxer" an led light comes on from the end of the switch.. the other end of the cable runs into the computer and i dont know where it goes in there.. When i bought the car the previous owner was asian and hard to understand, he said it was something to do with the fuel???

i cant realy notice any difference when it is set on normal or boxer.

the stock nissan turbo is neither a T25 or a T3, its nissans own.

You can get bolt on dump and front pipes from manufacturers such as HKS, that seperate the wastegate and turbine outlet pipes.  fortuneately the nissan outlet is the same as a GT25 turbo, so no probs with compatability if you do go a GT2530 - which would be my first option before a high flow, unless of course you are doing your own?

Something else that wouldnt hurt, a good pod, but make sure you have a partition and CAI.  The partition and CAI are really easy and cheap mods and make a world of difference on and off boost when the days start warming up.

hey thanx steve,,, concerning the pod,, have that already,, has had it for years now, my air filter is behind the front licence plate and thanx again for your info including what the turbo really is, i guess t3/t4 here we come lol

Ide go 2530 instead of high flowing the standard turbo. It just costs too much.

Hey steve, you say u run with no cat, i wanna do this too, my exhaust at the moment has a cat and 2 mufflers. I wanna get my exhaust done at CES in brisbane because there renowned for awesome quality.

What im asking is, will they do me an exhaust with no cat? seeing as its illegal not to have one?

    • There are fixes for this. In industry we use compressed air for everything. It is frequently wet, and many things cannot tolerate it. So there are various forms of driers available that you can install. The simplest option for something like this would be a dessicant drier. Much cheaper to replace some silica gel than actuator cylinders.
    • That's a solid update mate, well done at WA FOS. You may already know this, but the actuators on the paddle shift are a service item and are sadly not that reliable. As I understand it they collect water from the compressor (condensation) which then rusts the bores/pistons in the actuators. A mate of mine had no end of trouble with them in one if his circuit cars, apparently it's a 'known issue'. Buy a couple of spares at great expense to ensure you never have any problems with the ones you've got! Any clues about what the new WTAC rules might be? While faster cars are cool the Pro class arms race has got to the point where you wouldn't even bother entering without a $1m budget and even then I don't think you'd win.

You can see another picture of it here: https://www.alltranz.com.au/shop/drivetrain/automatic-transmission/RE5R01A/product/9305/ The 4 speed automatic in the GTT is Nissan corporate stuff. You can search up similar jobs done on a Frontier or Pathfinder with a RE4R01B to get an idea for what the internals are going to look like and the procedure like this:
