Who Lives In Bankstown And Free This Weekend To Check Out A Car For Me?

Recommended Posts

As topic states, There is a car of my interest in Mount Lewis, NSW.

I would greatly appreciated if someone is willing to go inspect the car on my behalf.

I'd prefer if the person willing to do me this massive favor to be generally switched on about cars.

I'd like them to inspect the car for:

- Rust

-Accident damage (inspect if all panels line up correctly)

-Engine conditions (Knocking, Exhaust blowing smoke, turbo noise etc)

-Interior condition (rips, cigarette burns etc)

-Modification's it has done.

Also If possible, to take some details Pictures of the car and email to me.

This would be great if someone can do me this, coz it save me time and money If i fly down for a lemon.

If you are interested, Please PM me and I will send you the Link on carsales.com

Thanks in advance,

Dush

What he said.

Gf lives nearby, always gives me plenty of ammunition and she loves the hektik accents I do :miner:

...and I thought you were a most decent and upstanding pillar of society :)

All in good fun. There's lots of lovely people around there. She gives me shit for living in Wollongong (everyone from Sydney considers us their inbred step-brother/sister).

To be honest I haven't spent enough time around there to be able to have an informed opinion on it; plan to do so though. Research!

ive spent some time around there, in padstow area, and im from newcastle, and welllll ill just say, i wouldnt live there, no offence to the bankstown folks, but yeah LOL worthy

im in padstow now but grew up in the area all my life. everyone thinks its ghetto for some reason but its by far the friendliest place this side of the parramatta river.

    • OK. But what about parts of the block that, when assembled, were twisted into a position that pushed into the void space, which, when disassembled, then released that force and opened back up, thus putting the grout into tension? Would effectively just pull the cast iron off the grout at the interface, leaving a tiny void and benefitting not much at all. Swings, and roundabouts. It's like putting something tiny into the fleshlight and finding out you needed a smaller one, to perhaps follow your area of expertise.
    • Nah. You buy a kit that has shorter tubes.
    • I didnt present too many conclusions because I wanted your opinions and feedback based on your own experiences. I don't know the exact material, but it is similar to concrete and therfor only has valuable strength in compression. The forces on the set material once the head is removed would mostly be in compression since the grout wants to retain its shape and the block wants to return to its relaxed state since it's still within the elastic region. The grout would theoretically make the block more rigid. The exact amount would take a better setup on my end. Thought experiment: Instead of aliens, twist your favorite fleshlite. Now fill it with grout and allow it to sit for a week. Now try to twist it again. Observe what you see. Now get your other one and blow into it. Observe what you see. Now put it into a can and fill the space between your fleshlite and the can. After it sets blow into it. Less movement in torsion and less expansion i hope.
