This may be urban legend but the story on the Kulnura track goes like this -

The owner applied to build the track to be used for his private use in the '70's. Not surprisingly he was knocked back by local council. So instead he applied to build an access road, left out the fact that it had 22 corners and would be 5+ks long and it was duly approved........It does link from the road to the house.......

And his son wrote off his Maclaren F1 several years ago somewhere down around Akuna Bay. I remember reading the article and thinking it left my indiscretion of writing off my dad's old SR500 somewhat down the scale of young, dumb son screw-ups.

hire jewish lawyer's to draft up a disclaimer form. but if you only have a small skid area, with a decent runn off area, maybe a few tyre stacks where any obsticles are, it wouldn't be a issue.

surely you would only embark on a basic testing/handling/manouver area, you wouldn't set up corner's 50-100 meters long and a track km's long.

and yes i have seen that sp episode.

Reminds me of that South Park where Cartman buys his own theme park so he doesn't have to wait in queue for rides, then let's in one or two people to pay the maintenance guy to fix rides, and more people in after that to pay for other expenses...then bit by bit it becomes a not so private theme park

Truth is alot of people learn how to drive their cars on the street...because there's nowhere in close proximity or with subsidised cost to support this kind of thing, when there should be. Safe injecting rooms for hoons so to speak...but the government would rather help addicts kill themselves than give people with a healthy and tax benefiting passion a place to have fun
