Hey everyone,

This year the club is going through a lot of changes. Some basic and some behind the scenes to make everyones lives a bit easier.

Here's the first; Annual club membership.

This year, club membership will change from the current system to an annual system with pro rata. How does this work? Easy;

The old system is that you pay the fee and are valid for 12 months from that date. The new system is pro rata and all renewals on the 1st July, so if you join in August you pay 11 months worth of membership fee (total annual fee divided by 12 then multiplied by 11).

Whenever the date is 6 months or less from the renewal date, the payment is for one full year plus what's left of the current year. So for example if you signup in June you would pay for the rest of the year (again, total fee divided by 12 then multiplied by 1, I know you don't need to multiply by one I'm trying to make it simple) then add the next years fee.

Simple!

Why are we doing this? The secretary has a tough job keeping up with renewals and signups at times and this is SO much easier so she can have less stress and some more time to focus on other things. Plus it makes sense to do it this was for ordering the welcome packs (we don't want to order 5 of something one month then 2 the next month, we prefer bigger orders on longer intervals and this works perfectly with our merchandise sales)

Shell has sent an email to all current members to make sure they're all up to date, if you didn't get it, or you're not financial please let one of the exec team know so we can sort that out or you.

A calandar will also be put up very soon (just finishing off details), trust me there's a HUGE year ahead for members. The discounts on entry to the Texi's alone will pay for membership to the club, so what are you waiting for?!

Cheers
