okay i have looked around and cannot find any 1996 S supras coming up for auction in the coming days..

i can see a white 2001 SZR that has a starting bid of 680K

that particular car could go anywhere up to a million yen... i'd probably say it'd go close to around about 900K FOB or more...

the 96 SZ

hold on - is it the black one?? grade 3.5?

i'd be budgeting anywhere between 500K FOB to 8/900K fob

okay the white SZ-R is mint... which will push the price higher - but it's white... which tends to lower local (japanese) interest

being a 2001 SZ-R though, never know where it could go.. my previous price estimation still stands.. anywhere between 800K fob up to a million FOB

it's at Nagoya and goes up for auction tomorrow - if you're mad keen on it then get on the phone to someone.. and express your bid - but you have to pay about a grand brokerage fee before they'll do your bidding for you!!!

keep in mind... you can't go fishing without bait! so you never know... you can pick up a bargain... one of the soarers i picked up was 280K FOB simply cos - well i guess everyone was asleep when it went through auction!

as for the SZ supra - i cannot for the life of me find out any more info - but that car also looks neat ... modified... i wouldn't be bidding on that one without a proper inspection put it that way... and if i was to bid on it... i'd probably have a crack at about 500K??

maybe a bit more

do these prices make sense to you in landed n complied terms though?

sz-r looks so good plus i dont mind white cars. ...that wuld be my first preference but not enuf money

as for making a last minute decision im just going to keep waiting, mainly because my dad is going to have to help pay for car.

thanks for the help mr.eps and yes they vaguely make sense.

this how ive broken it down for the supra sz bodykited one

$6,500 for car,

$990 dollar for broker like iron chef

$2000 Shipping

$3000 Compliance

$1000 duties and taxes

so like close to $14 grand correct?

i really like that sz though, although i just hope there wouldnt be any rust etc. so if i had more time wuld of been nice to get proper inspection

as i said - the SZR could go any price...

could go expensive because - face it... it's a 2001 final build model... it's a 6 speed manual... it is graded by USS auction house as 4.5 which means "almost like new, immaculate car"... and it's interior is B-grade... which also means it's immaculate

it has no aftermarket suspension, no rims, no guage pods, none of that aftermarket "boy" toys

keep in mind.. auction gradings mean NOTHING

my black soarer... that thing was graded at 3... and that thing blew my socks off after i got all the pics through...

but then again

the SZR might go really really cheap if nobody else bids on it or it gets sold after auction in negotiations... who knows... the japs might be busy hunting whales when it goes through... but for the SZR i would be prepared to pay at LEAST 800K fob

Ok so $10,000-$14000 for car,

$2000 shipping,

$3000 compliance,

$990 broker fee,

$1000 duties and charges,

so about $17,000- $21.000

i really should of got a job during the HSC because that would make a really nice p plate car, its immaculate!!!! plus low km's which is a bonus for resale value.

PS very suprised ur soarer was grade 3, it looks great comapred to most of the soarers here in aus

https://bzl.cis6200.jp/e/p5_search_detail.a...amp;p=2&f=p

or this one..

13483_002.jpg

13483_003.jpg

grade 3.5 83Km

oh and.... 6.5K for car FOB = about 13.4K landed n complied with today's exchange rate... but allot 14/14.5K for tyres + registration costs / any hiccups along the way

That black one looks damnn goood for 3.5. Do you think there would be much chance of it having engine troubles etc?

as for the grade R car i cant see it? it blocks me from seeing the webpage for some reason...although i may have seen it..is that the one thats got a matte silver respray?

resale value regarding imports... keep watching the skies man... anything can happen... ALL imports hold their value... ALWAYS.

i know that this is not everyone's tastes.. but i fvcking LOVE everything japanese and bazaar... everyone here gives me shit all day for the stuff that i like..

but... if i was in your shoes - i'd be shopping hard for a nice pre 89 import... cheap as crud on a stick plus less hassles with compliance... even today after buying my dream soarer i STILL think about cars like these..

1979 toyota markII

1979-Toyota-Mark_2-Lgtouring_front.jpg

1979-Toyota-Mark_2-Lgtouring_rear.jpg

that as a first car would be absolutely porn... you want an import... you're limited to no turbos... supras are too typical!!! get something RIDICULOUSLY unique... =)

or how about a crown convertible :P

1984-Toyota-Crown_front.jpg

1984-Toyota-Crown_rear.jpg

i think that car is just soooo insanely pimp... lower the suspension springs and work equip 01/03 and that thing would be soooooooo pimp

grade R

10047_002.jpg

10047_003.jpg

don't actually buy that it'll be a PITA to comply haha

the black one... 3.5 is still a good car man!

2J is bulletproof engine.. very little problems with toyotas... and even if there IS a problem down the track - who cares? you'll still love the car!!!

but yes - that's my point... don't pay attention to what the auction grade says on paper... you can get a really good car @ grade3 like i did... or you can get a poo wagon graded at 4.5

Yeahhhh that black supra would be damn good. as for that cream coloured car that is soooo sick!!! how much do u rkn that wuld go for...? thatd look so good debadged and lowered on some nice rims.

the convertible??? probably nothing...

i'd be bidding about 200K fob for that thing... well maybe not THAT low lol but i wouldn't be expecting to pay too much for it!!!

ugh!!! the pre89's are KILLING me tonight

I am seriously thinking of selling off my SZ and keeping the cash until i have enough for an RZ.

Do you want my SZ? its auto though, for a nice price of 10500, i'll get an rwc so that you can get it registered in your state =D

But of course, i'll be keeping my AVS model t6s and will slap on some stock 16 inches.

Hey Xalmon, thanks for the offer but I'm really intent on a manual, not for the purpose of beating the hell out of the clutch, but just because i enjoy driving a manual more...i jus seem to hav better conection to the car. In the VZ Berlina (an auto) it just bores me to death not changing gears, so it would be the same regardless of the car model i.m.o.

Oh well, thank god you're not in melbourne then, having the right leg cramp up in traffic is better than having both legs cramp up in traffic. =D

lol yeah i would be tempted to go for an auto if i was in melbourne, ive seen how the traffic gets there. but ye im in newcastle for 4 years for uni and theres not too much traffic, although it is getting worse, just have to leave at the right times to avoid it.

    • They should do. I have S14 (or something S chassis, anyway) driveshafts in my R32 (because my diff flanges have 3x2). They're the right length. When you go looking for R32/3/4 driveshafts (for turbos), they're all the same thing, so are the same length. So there really shouldn't be any reason why those cheapies from JJ won't also fit an R34. R32/3 NA should also be the same thing. The (3x the price) D-Max ones are uni-fit. They have 5x1 and 3x2 bolt holes and say they cover all the cars. So that would also suggest that they are all the same except for the flanges. And in that case, the flange goes both ways. I'd be buying the D-Max ones if I ever have to replace a shaft. Because that will open up diff options without needing to juggle shafts also. Juggling shafts is gay.
    • Yeah with the adaptors they do look like the photo above - just the fitment within the plenum itself and then further with the rail to the intake is questionable - we shall see tomorrow hopefully once I get some replies from Aeroflow, maybe those bosses are the missing piece....
    • Should be fine, if you have it sitting too far in, you end up just spraying the walls and have shit idle. You "can" run them like that, however I don't think it's a great idea (also depends on your plenum, might be good to just get the injector bosses first, mock it up and see if you need to get the bottom extension) Ideally your injectors, with the extension should look like this  (Not my photos, just Google)
    • Thanks for the replies guys, it's really appreciated.  It seems the kit was supposed to come with those injector bosses but hasn't. Unsure if they'll help as even with the adaptors to make them a 3/4 height injector they still sit too far out so mount the fuel rail?
    • Hello, I am looking to replace my two rear drive shafts in my R34 N/A Skyline but I'm finding conflicting information. Do S13/S14/S15 or R32 NA/ R33 NA fit? https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-rear-drive-shaft-l-h-nissan-silvia-s13-s14-s15-3x2-type?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqY7EwDaYCUoUU3mxxZ_qrUXkVVHiV4MIN7ozoar6scjnEiekv- would this fit?
