I want to make an airbox enclosure for my car, since it came with a pod. Will probably try perspex. I think I have found a place in canberra to get some. Just wanted to know if anyone is able to give me any advice on how to make one? I had a search using some key words and couldn't seem to find anything. Would getting a heat gun or a hair dryer be enough to bend most perspex?

a heat gun will bend perspex fine, just setup something on your bench at the angle you want the bend(s) coz when its hot its floppy you'll leave it for a few mintues to cool and take the new form. would work best if you sandwich it between 2 bits of timber while it cools

Hey mate I made mine out of alloy sheet, I went abit overboard and used 3mm but its light anyways, heres a few pics of the one I made for my r34 gtt and also I will post a pic of 1 I made for my mates r33, btw I have a front mount and I used one of the spare holes from the old intercooler and put a 3 inch pipe through straight to the filter down to the front bar so that it feeds it the cold air better, thanks.

I was lazy and just modified a JJ box to suit my high mount setup, couldnt be happier with the finish though.

Nomnomv8, my old airbox was VERY similar to the MrRX7s3 pic and retained the factory snorkal, unfortunately i couldnt make it work with the JJ box but am thinking i might modify it later to see if i can.....
