recently purchased a new car, had it checked over by a mechanic & it came back completely fine apart from the tires, im a little broke right now & the car is going into the mechanic in my town thursday morning for roadworthy, i've been trying all my friends to borrow someones wheels so it will pass, failed badly at that idea.. i was sitting out the back thinking what to do next and i spotted my 4 wheel caravan, went and looked at the wheels they are the exact same height & width as the tires on my car & the stud patten is perfect.. can i use them or is there some reason why i cant? hope this isn't a stupid question its a last resort kind of thing.

IF they fit on they should be fine, however i would find it very odd if a caravan has a subaru stud pattern on them. i think you may find that when you actually try to fit them to the car the stud pattern may be a few mm out (usually caravans and trailers will be ford or holden stud pattern)
