Tangents
define easy ? if you have all the tools and a hoist its a piece of piss . saying that the jack on the drive way is still fairly easy if you take your time and think about things first Fitting coilovers yourself is achievable but anyone in your drive way if you have some spanners/socket and a jack. You'll easily get the mfitted in an afternoon taking things nice and easy. Flat ground! and car stands... The only way, and brick behind wheels, front of car then rear of car, put car up on stands (wheels removed) then use a trolley jack to take the weight of the hub, unbolt everything then throw your coilovers in bolt everything back up using locktight then repeat... easily achievable in an afternoon. rb26stagea
Load coilovers in back of car: go to your mate who owns a hoist: feed him (light) beer while he fits them, then blaze away into the sunset: easily achievable in an afternoon. pipster11
by the beard of zeus $992 for 2 rear shocks get a bc coilover kit in there asep bru! stockpile all the parts, invest in 4 jack stands and a half decent trolley jack install it all yourself or with a mate then limp round for an alignment (getting bc coilovers means you wont need the really expensive bump stops either) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/325046-is-my-suspension-stuffed/page/2/#findComment-5298881 Share on other sites

KiwiRS4T
I suggested going to a good suspension shop -that excludes Peddars by definition! You can do all that stuff yourself (do you really need a new steering rack?) or better still with some mates (cost of a tray or two). I prefer Bilsteins to cheap (adjustable?) coilovers but try a drive in a car with the suspension you a looking to buy and make your mind up that way rather than spend money and wish you hadn't. Daleo
who has a family and has bc coilovers?and what does your family think of the ride? Yep, a missus and a two year old, I was a bit worried when I fitted them. I have them on the softest setting, when fitted, my missus commented that the ride was so much better than before, much less "boaty" The original gear was pretty soggy. My 2yr old regularly falls asleep whilst driving, so I reckon that say enough. scotty nm35
Yep, good spring rates and adjustable dampening, what more do you want? The Stag is great for putting the kids to sleep... BigDirtyJase
Which ones are you going to order? I was looking on JustJap and saw there are two different one for S2 RS4 BC Racing Coilover Suspension Kit - Nissan Stagea WGNC34 & Stagea RS Four (Auto Only) V1 Design VS Series - 30 Level Damper Adjustable - $1199 or BC Racing Coilover Suspension Kit - Nissan Stagea WGNC34 AWD BR Type RS Series - 30 Level Damper Adjustable - $1299 Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the two? pipster11
isn't the manufacturer a seller on here? if so it'd be best to get them from him or straight of their website or ebay (just as cheap i think) just make sure you say that its an auto awd stagea and you should be fine Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/325046-is-my-suspension-stuffed/page/2/#findComment-5300182 Share on other sites
Daleo
I have the BR setup, all I can see that is different is the adjustment collars are a slightly different design, and they're gold, versus red on the VS. I would say the cartridge is the same. I think on other models, the BR has adjustable pillow ball camber plates as opposed to rubber mounted top plates. This is irrelevant on our vehicles, and a pillowball top mount would be much harsher & more susceptible to wear. I purchased mine on Ebay from a seller in Unzud for $100 less than Just Jap has as retail, and that was delivered to my door.
