Mine did that when the alternator was on its way out.

Otherwise open your boot look under your parcel shelf there will be a metal box off centre to the right hanging off the parcel shelf. Make sure it is connected. It is speed sensitive steering, which comes on at slow speeds to help with parking and slow maneuvres but turns off at higher speed.

Skylines have that? I thought that was a more modern feature..... makes sense but didnt know R32's had that....

Sounds like HiCAS... (which does have a little computer in your boot)

which he doesn't have?

and from every other source i have read, the HiCAS is only for high speed cornering not as a parking aid.

what i thought tomcio was talking about was something newer cars have which is as the car slows down the power steering gets lighter but when ur at highway speed the steering is a bit heavier so the steering isnt as twitchy etc

But yeah Im pretty sure skylines dont have that?

Anyways cant be hicas computer, or was hicas an option on GTS's? not sure about this

charging at 13.9 its still sweet, i has to be somthing electrical, it randomly goes easy, its like its stuck on high speed steering or somthing...i have a brown box under my shelf, no plug connected or any plugs near it too be connected, strange.... i find many plugs that are disconected that have no were too connect too on my car lol its really weird
