if a cop looks up your car on their database...

if its a R32 gtst ... would it say it was turbo? or just a Skyline R32 19XX?

lol i dunno about the inexperienced component as you can stack a commodore very easily/ doesn't need to a skyline, its the driver!

as for getting a turbo anyway is just STUPID, most officers know exactly what to look for in a skyline as they are far from rare. Apart from that u may be selling your turbo quickly and buying a bus ticket after you loose your licence lol or have your insurance claim voided!

for the record i got pulled over (ages ago) under the old power to weight ratio rules and still got fined in an R33 T. Make u relise that some cops know what they are doing don't let these guys persuade u to get a turbo.

But commodores usually have quite a lot of power for n/a cars.. and shit handling. I remember turning 18 and having to use my brothers VT to drive to work one day, i was driving a 1.6L rover back then. Couldnt stop wheel spin in the 3.8L hunk of junk.

I think it does come down to inexperience in driving a high powered car. People these days should learn to drive n/a smaller engine cars rather than larger engine or turbos. Non the less good luck on finding a nice car to this guy! I am super happy with my R34 n/a. Just be patient and in time you will get what you really want, practice driving more, don't think your king of the road and it will all be good =]
