Whats The Noise

if its a big end it will be louder at higher engine temperatures cause the oil becomes thinner.

if it only happens when its dead cold and totally goes away once the engines warm i'd be leaning towards possible sticking lifter or if its there all the time damaged hydralic lifter.

you'll be suprised with lifters, they tend to "tap" more so when engine is warm but then again, lifters can be very un-predictable as they come and go.

the knock in the video is only there once there is enough load on the piston to push away the oil in the bearing so that it "slaps", on idle theres no knock as the oil pressure is sufficient to patch up the noise.
