you know...I might just have been unlucky, but I have one of those, not too much use (just home, not workshop) and it is leaking. Really not what I was expecting for the price.

That's not good to hear :/ . But my local Snap-on man has been excellent with warranty/exchange in the past, with no questions asked. So I would have no qualms returning it if need be. Do you mind sharing where you got yours from? Is it just weeping from the seals or leaking badly?

Mine leaks too. Back seal on piston. Bought a 3 tonne Omega at around the same time - no leaks.

I use them at work for steel wire armoured cable glands however I can see them be very handy for heaps of jobs. they work just as well as a spanner in regards to gripping bolts and leave no marks.

every workshop jack ive seen over 3yrs that isnt serviced has had leaks.

Thanks for that observation. How many workshop jacks are we talking about? My Omega doesn't leak and is a far better product in my opinion than the Bluepoint/Snap-on. I have both, as mentioned earlier.

2 being omega.
