Gtr Rear Plenum Vacuum Lines To Map Sensor

yes this is a post about how to get the stock gauge working, HOWEVER, at the rear of the plenum where i should be connecting the MAP sensor to there is a hose that goes to another nipple directly above, WTF? so what do i do with the nipple above, where does that connect to? here is a pic where you can see the blue tube going from one nipple to the other.

the really small writting says "this is meant to go to MAP sensor right?"

If i remember correctly, one nipple goes to the map sensor, the other one goes to the wastegates

so if the two outlets are connected by that blue pipe what would be happening with the wastegates? this is confusing
