Hi guys,

I have a car in storage which can only be there for a max of one month

On Saturday i need some help with parting a few things out of the car

I need some help to remove the 5 stud pattern on the car and put them on mine and then replace the other car with my old 4 stud pattern

change over my brakes to turbo ones

I also need help with taking the doors off and removing the glass (front and 2 rear quarter)

Also i want to remove the aircon system and other little parts to sell due to needing to pay off the seller ASAP

i would appreciate it so much seeing that i don't know how to remove these things

the place is out at gepps cross

cheers again

Gepps Cross is just up the road from me. I can help out if you wish ... but can only do so on weekends at this stage.

If the site has power, I have a compressor and rattle gun that can make short work of everything.

:)

I could make myself free Saturday morning. I'll need to do work around my house extension in the arvo.

We can get alot done in the morning. Two people is better than one, and I can get you onto certain jobs to save time. :) I'll PM you my mobile number and we'll work it out from there.

If its got power, would it then have a bar fridge with beer? :w00t:

Anybody else want to lend a hand? :D

I might be able to free up a few hours .... will let you know closer to the day. I assume you want to change over all the rotors/brakes/lines at the place, so you would need AT LEAST 4 decent size jacks. I also have a compressor and lots of air tools.

Ahh what do you guys recommend?

I've got the whole braking system to play around with i think besides the rotors! im pretty sure hes parted the rotors..

WIll i need to change the whole thing over? Should i just do the brakes? forget about the lines and rotors etc?

He also said that i will need new brake pads which ones do you guys recommened and where abouts would i find them? i'm just after cheap reliable stuff at the moment

cheers

'Cheap' and 'reliable' don't really go together. If its mostly easy street driving, then any common-brand pad will do. SAU-SA members get 10% off at Autobahn if you want to go with Bendix or another brand. That 10% off would probably pay for your membership with the savings.

I'm going for QFM pads once I've upgraded my brakes (hopefully this weekend coming). Can be had for cheap on ebay.

:P

ahah thought so

i will probably just sus out and get some front and rear turbo pads

also with the rotors because they don't come with any on the wrecked car does that mean i have to buy new rotors to fit on the 5 stud conversion?

If you are doing a 4 stud to 5 stud conversion you will definitely need all of the rotors, as well as brake calipers, and you will need the whole wheel hubs off - it is quite a massive job.

No probs :)

Most bits are off, just the rear hubs next.

Thanks for picking up my extension cord too. Got into a bit of a panic about that ... kicking myself for being in a rush to leave :D
