a 0.73 a/r rear housing in standard 6-bolt skyline pattern is also available - Ive got one on my gt3076r highflow

.... custom ported stock nissan compressor cover, garret gt3076r-iw dual ball bearing chra #700177-5015, AVO 0.73 skyline rear exhaust housing

Is the kkr water and oil cooled, or oil cooled only? Is journal bearing. If water AND oil cooled probably similar to the old Slide Performance highflows, may last a few years.

A garret chra core with skyline housings ported to suit (highflowed) would be the best solution IMHO, ie a GT2860, GT2871 or GT3071. Perhaps search for a used HKS 2530 turbo - sounds like this is the one you want.

awesome response, around 220awkw at 1bar, oil and water cooled, bolt on.

Ive got a HKS 14 PSI heavy duty adjustable actuator for sale if you'd like it for a hundrey. I upgraded to a garret 18psi actuator for my GT3076r.

Im using the gt3076r as I like the mid-range to topend power use, and yes in the hills I always see 5500rpm! in 4th gear at 200kmph its "idling" at around 3200rpm - need to hit up the goolwa airstrip for a proper run I reckon!

Down low isnt too laggy as my cams sort of compensate. Feels like a 3.0litre

brendan - mate what are you using your 3076R with a 0.73 rear housing on???? RB25??? if so what boost your running and what power are you making??? thanks man

RB25det, low boost 1.05bar and high boost 1.25bar, makes 335rwhp / 250rwkw at 17psi dropping to 16psi in 3rd gear auto, rwd (front driveshaft & fuse pulled)

With a better ECU there would be more in it, around 260-ish.

With a good strong bottom end build she'd be maxing at around 280rwkw

I wouldnt bother with the .73, Ive had the AVO one, it had a better midrange but not much to offer up top, still held in too much heat, Hks do a .68 and IMO does a much better job. (just ask Lee RB25DETS2)

Bang for buck a .86 garret is hard to beat, anything smaller just bottles the heat in. On 98 it's pointless running higher than 17-18 psi, so at that sort of boost roughly 260-270 would be good reliable figure.

(wasnt me) just put 3076 bolt on kit on his 34 neo from gcg, .8 rear, dump, llines etc came badged as a 3037! he's happy especially since I tuned the sucker on E85 and 24 psi !!!

He's taking it to Willall for a power run tomorrow at 2pm should go and have a gander...

and with the normal highflow... my actuator will shag out at around 13 14 psi correct? so i need a hks 15 psi actuator ?? yes?

this will mean i wont b able to run a lower psi for day to day driving is this correct? what are my options here? just not put the shoe in as hard?

i hear rb20s are good to about 15? (i really want to run like 14 15 highboost, and low boost at like 6 7 8 or so...)

also spoke to the dude on the phone regarding this and he said something about my compresser controller?? (wtfs this) needing a freshen up?

I got a gcg turb with the same number on the core, but gcg tag says gt3071r...they tell me it has a .71 rear and a 3076 core......im a tad confused now...Is this what your running

Using standard turbine housing and factory actuator you will experience a boost drop to 15psi at 7000RPMs. With wastegate controller and a high pressure actuator you can hold it on what ever psi you want to 7000RPMs.

damo i ment rb20 actuator :P

so... normal highflow... 15psi hks or so actuator... and set the profec b spec 2... set and forget ..?? :D

***will a garret 3071r actuator be ok to use?***ive also heard of people putting a thread on there stock actuator rod... this still doesnt change the boost it can handle does it?? (springs not being touched??)

0.86 rear housing for me is a bit too laggy......i prefer a good mid range with the top end of roughly 260-280rwkw......

so Lee what turbo are you exactly running mate????? and on 98 RON fuel what sort of power were you making????
