hi all recently i cant change into second if my revs are too high or im going too fast, is this a synco issue? or is it somthing to do with the new clutch? it wasnt as bad befor my new clutch, ive gone from a twin plate to a HD single, its a r32 with a rb20

you probably had an oil in there previously that was helping the damaged syncro do its job

after the clutch change your mechanic most probably put a different oil in there than before that isnt thin enough for that syncro to operate as it used to anymore

try a different oil, sumthing like 75w90 or just buy another box, they r pretty cheap?

ideally you want to get your gearbox rebuilt as you'll have worn out synchros. if thats not on the cards right now then a popular temporary fix for that is get some redline shockproof gear oil. i've heard from many people its excellent at hiding the problem for a while, depending how bad the gearbox is already.
