Jamezilla
I received a defect last night for having (brand new!) 93 index tyres instead of 94 as noted on the tyre placard. The tyre size is correct for the rims. There was no other problem with the tyres - have less than 5000km on them and are regularly rotated/balanced/aligned. I never even noticed the placard requirement - and Bob Jane Prahran recommended and fitted the tyres (Sumitomo HTR Z II @ 265/35/18). Bob Jane are trying to help me out, as they sold me the wrong items (they didn't notice the placard either) - but it seems that everything in that size has a 93 weight index. Even P-Zeros. What are other people running on 18 x 9.5" wheels? Is this normal or am I just unlucky?
