Hey

biggest problem at the moment is a dead market.. cars just aren't moving. fantastic if you are a buyer because you have the upper hand but terrible if you are a seller.

unfortunately you are not going to see much of your hard earned returned, as i'm sure you are aware.

it all comes down to finding the right buyer at the right time (something is only worth what someone is willing to pay) but my guesstimate would be around the 14-15k mark

I wouldnt mind a Series-2 auto

Id flog off the complete Neo engine, brakes & ecu, and drop in my track car parts:

ie:

rear R32 GTR brake calipers, new Slotted DBA 4000 discs, QFM A1RM track pads, braided lines

new front Wilwood Racing 4-pot brake calipers, Drilled 324mm brembo rotors, Wilwood pads, braided lines

new 235/45/17 KU36 tyres

In goes the R32 GTR RB26dett engine, with z32 afms, GTR fmic, new YellowJacket coilpacks, new Siemens 550cc injectors,

near new highflow turbos, new hardpipe kit, new OBX headers, hks split dumps, OBX new turboback "greddy mx" type exhaust,

new 52mm radiator, fuel pump/lines/swirlpot, various guages and parts to suit from the r32 sedan donor car.

Id install shift paddles, and spend a few grand at mv autos (blackwood, sa) on shift kit, auto rebuild strengthen-up, etc.

The rb26 engine would be rebuilt with 87mm hks pistons and a whole heap of crazy gear I already have.

I dont see why I couldnt sell the S1, buy S2, sell s2 parts, install track car parts, sell remainder, and not really pay anything.............

:P

Or do as I planned, install manual shift kit system to my s1 auto box, plus the rb26 stuf above.

yeh. fark it.

who wants to help me remove an engine or two ?

Or buy a S2 anyway and have both !!! Rb26 into S2 as above, dirty RB 30 bottom end to the S1

woooot

LOLz

Haha brendo,nice ad man

it's hard to say wat she's worth,I tried to sell mine until I realised that if someone did coming with the cash and pay the full asking price,I still wouldn't be happy to let her go

guess you need to work out wat kind of cash you would be happy with to hand the keys over

i know it would break my heart to see someone else drive my stag past me( I still crack the Sads wen I see my old black s2 rx7 that I sold 6years ago!!)

decide on a price, stick to it.if someone isn't happy to buy it for said price, keep it and transplant that rb26 you have into it...

Peace out dude

That was all the car ^

silly miss

I'll sell her engine as a head, turbo & bottom end (she'll hate that) and get say 4k

ecu, other stuff another grand. Put that into rb26 build

drop in said rb26 and do skids out of the change

I got told a stock s2 was worth about 17k when i took out my insurance about 3 months ago, however like you guys are saying there are heaps of stags on the market atm and no one is buying them, the one i bought started out at 16500 and ended up going down to 13500 before i bought it, regardless of all the mods I would agree with mike that you would probably only get like 15k max

Not clear why you want to sell it. In NZ a stock S1 RS4T is worth about $5k. My S1 after spending about $15 - 20K on it would sell for about $8k so there's no way I am ever going to sell it!

All your car needs is an RB30 bottom end and a manual box or a hugely beefed up auto (oh and possibly a GTR rear end)!

musta been stoned,

decided to take out the rb26dett from the r32 sedan, plus the intake/fmic, bov system, powerfc, new 4-pot wilwood calipers, pads, brackets, lines & 330mm rotors,

I'll grab the rear calipers from the sedan and swap with the stagea rears, and keep the new ku36 tyres

then I'll sell the r32 4-door sedan stripped shell with:

stagea rear & r32 GTR front calipers/slotted rotors/braided lines/pads, spare front Stagea calipers/lines/pads

17x8" Stitch mags/new tyres,

front/rear Greddy strut bars,

front Bride seat rails/ Bride drivers bucket seat, Gehpardo seat

stock rear seats, seat belts, GTR fuel pump fitted, GTR rear wing, spare gtst rear wing with led brake light

Cusco roll cage, spare 4wd roll cage

tomei 320kmph dash, replacement speedo cable/bonnet latch cable

5spd manual rwd gearbox/clutch in excellent condition,

new steering wheel/adapter/gearshifter/boost gauge,

koyo radiator and trust intercooler with tein adjustable suspension

it will just need an engine. complied, rego'd for rb20. no engine/ecu. 4g firm.

I'll then sell my gt3076r turbo, dump/front pipe, manifold for near 2g, sell the ported Tomei head for 2g and sell the bottom end & ecu(s) for another 1g

sink 2g into the auto and around 3g into building/tuning the rb26 with all the insane parts I have collected off ebay - means all up it'd cost me 10k to do changeover once all costs considered.

(ie new forged rb26dett built/installed/tuned + new strengthened auto)

everything is ready to go, as listed above all costs already paid for and/or covered via sales, so Im going to do it.

stuff the rb26dett has waiting for it:

Greddy oil filter, Ryco fuel filter, Champion Gold sparkplugs

550cc Siemen Denso Injectors with new O-rings & seals

Yellow Jacket coil packs

ASI 52mm dual core alloy radiator

JC-Project radiator silicone pipes

1L alloy radiator overflow can

Fujimoto oil drain valve

Z32 air flow meter kit

600x400x100mm FMIC kit

4 litre alloy fuel surge tank with 5m braided fuel lines & speedflow fittings

Fuel pressure regulator kit

1L Oil catch tank with mini-airpod filter breather

Oil filter relocation kit with speeflow fittings

30-row oil cooler unit

Wilwood 570 High-Temp racing brake fluid

    • Doing a refresh of my 33 and can see a few websites stating they sell the entire main carpet for our cars, but they all have generic photos which is fine, i understand they are custom made to order.  Just seeing if anyone has got it done or had any experience with this, as i would only want to do it if the fit and finish was as good as oem https://carmatsdirect.com.au/products/moulded-carpet-or-vinyl-for-nissan-skyline-r33-1993-1998-coupe https://knoxautocarpets.com.au/moulded-carpets/nissan/skyline/skyline-r-33-1993-1998/
    • Any plans for E85? If so, add flex fuel sensor.   I'd probably add in the sensors I mentioned above if the Link will support using them for engine protection. With water pressure, you need to be able to effectively set it that "If temp > X, and pressure = atmospheric, shutdown" as at running temp, you should be able to read pressure in the cooling system. If pressure suddenly disappears, it means the water went some where, and this is a quicker reaction than waiting on water temp to go up (Which, can take a little longer than you'd like, considering it now has to wait for hot air to heat it up) Oil pressure, Oil temp, both would be on my list too if you're looking to add sensors. Wideband O2. And at least one EGT sensor. If you're feeling deluxe, put in individual runner EGTs. Single EGT sensor is more so forget about a specific number, get used to "What is normal EGTs", and then keep an eye on it, if it starts going away from "normal" it's a sign something is wrong (Also, things like the tune can still start going out of spec, but EGTs may not show it, for example one injector starts running leaning, so ECU richens everything up, now 5 out of 6 cylinders are rich, and running cool, with one cylinder lean and running hotter, so it's not perfect) Then there is your other things to look at non sensor related, but you may have already done, or have underway, and that would be things like building a sump for more oil, and better oil control under high G-Forces (Cornering, brakes, acceleration). Basically, the above is worth looking/thinking about, if the ECU can do protective stuff with it, and you continue to use it how you are (Drive it to the track, thrash it, drive home, repeat once every 3 to 4 months)
    • Can also confirm these work a treat for most balljoints and bushes. If you have access to a big rattle gun, they make the job so much easier and quicker, compared to using a socket wrench or shifter on the c-clamp 👍
    • Its sort of street but got used for circuit sprints on account of I never drive it on the road because I dont have the time to spare. So it usage was sits around for months at a time then gets driven either 50 or 250 kms to the track followed by 20 laps followed by 50 or 250kms home followed by stuck in the shed until next time. So yeah neither fish nor fowl. Just dont want to break it on the track as a preference. Hence the fairly short sensor/mod list. Probably more worried about it pinging itself to destruction more so than anything oil related.
    • My thing I'd be doing, is pulling it out, and just getting the tune cleaned up for now. Before that even happens, checking over everything, like vac hoses, fuel hoses, etc. No point dropping thousands on sensors if the moment you start it back up all the oil leaks out, or it has massive vacuum leaks etc.   But really, to know what to do, depends on what your use case is. Hard core track car? Throw most sensors available at it. Street car, I'd probably just run oil pressure, oil temps, water pressure, water temp, probably fuel pressure too. I don't know exactly what the Link can handle and do with those though. And if it's mainly just to cruise the streets, rather than mountain runs, you can probably skip most of the above if you've already got them in as gauges and warning lights.   PS, inb4 "sell it and buy a modern sportscar"
