It's leather, why cover it up? Or do you mean for when it's parked?

Why on the subject of M35 steering wheels, has anyone had one recovered in leather in the sydney region? I've got on to a mob called The Leather Doctor that I will get a quote from when I'm ready, I was just going to get the wheel redyed and protected but I discovered some damage to the centre area where it meets the airbag module. It's obviously been rubbing against it and it's broken the leather in a small area. So looks like a complete recover for me Maybe I get it in wine red leather with black stitching.

Diameter is 365mm, but the std leather wrap is a pretty good look, those wheel covers are big step backwards if you ask me...

Still if we all liked the same thing, everybody would be driving Stageas, and who wants that?

BTW, I believe Black Needle Upholstery, out in Penrith will also recover a steering wheel for a fairly reasonable price. I only say this because most trimmers refuse to do steering wheels.
