Hey guys,

I have just recently purchased the Motordyne Thermal Plenum spacer/Grounding Kit/Z-Tube.

I have managed to install the Z-Tube but having some issues with Thermal Plenum spacer and grounding kit.

I have asked my mechanic to install the Plenum spacer and he asked me if it was plastic and if I had the extra gaskets? He said some people have come back to him saying due to it being plastic, some have broken. Also that he needs to take the whole manifold off to install the gasket? Is this the aramid gasket that comes along with the plenum? I am very confused right now! Please help me..

Also with the grounding kit, I don't want to tackle this on my own.

If anyone in Sydney is willing to install this for me and has installed it on their car (plenum & grounding kit), I am willing to pay them, please let me know!

Thanks heaps!

The gaskets are attached to the spacer.

The lower gasket, may or may not have come with your kit depending which one you got. Its not required anyway, theres nothing wrong with the stock one.

He only has to remove the plenum.

In all seriousness have a go at it yourself. If you have a socket set and a torque wrench its not too hard. 3 to 4 hours of your time and you'll get to know the car a bit better.

there's a youtube video to guide you through installing the plenum spacer. you will only have to take the top bit off unless you got the thermal kit with the lower spacer.

grounding kits are easy to install...just do a search for best grounding points on the V35 (should be the same as a 350z). The only difficult one to get to is if you want to ground the auto-trans.

Thanks for all the replies.

Yeh with the plenum spacer, since I bought the Iso Thermal, it came with the Aramid gasket, so I'm guessing this is the one that should be left alone. I did a bit of research and I was going to have a go at it, but until I was told two mechanics (both mentioned on this forum before) that they would need to remove the whole manifold I got a bit worried.

Thanks again for all the help! I will have a go at let you know how I go:)
