at the sau vic monthly (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/General-Meeting-Tuesday-t325122.html) meetings we often have a guest speaker

along with the normal monthly agenda of events, up and coming, reviews, merchandise, track day reviews

we also have guest speakers who present products, information, reviews and anything interesting

in the past we've have had a few guest speakers, some of them include

phillips on xenon bulbs

snowman on his targa experience

shell on vpower and vpower racing

car cleaning products

an engineer who tested cars at nissan when the R32 GTR was out

meridian motorsport night at their workshop

we are interested in hearing what you like to see and hear about the monthly car club meetings

this is to ensure the content is aimed at you the members and is of useful purpose

please use the preselected voting or add your own feedback

we are open to all suggestions, ideas and feedback

I really liked the presentation from Chris from Centreline a few years ago. That technical info is really cool.

Workshop presentations on products and modifying tips would be good too.

We do have a few lined up over coming months incidentally :)

However this will help us as well of course :(

I think hiring an automotive engineer for a couple of hours for a Q&A might be a bit of fun. Small Entry fee at the door perhaps??

I think Committee would easily agree to cover such a cost if any are incurred in that regard. As President i certainly have no issue with that what so ever.

So... Suggestions? :D

That said I do generally prefer people to want to come along not for the money - but for what they are doing.

A lot of the people we get in are genuinely passionate about what they do and want to talk about it.

The ex-Nissan guy that Pat organised a while ago i reckon was awesome. Hasn't worked for them for 10+yrs, but was more than happy to give a chat about his time there and show some photo's and so on which really made it all the more involving :)

Sometimes (of course) Shell or someone come along to talk about various things, hell they even bring stuff to give away (and everyone likes that  ), and they are there for a jolly good time and are fun to talk too which is as important as the talk itself.

Someone doing a monotonous speech will send the room to sleep.
